This may be a real dumb question

This may be a real dumb question, but i have to ask it anyway. I am a definite NooB when it comes to the WII, in fact so new i am just about to go out and buy one. But I have noticed they come in two colors White & Black. Now I can only asume that there is more than just a cosmetic differance as I am sure they really dont expect that much more for simply using a differant colour plastic for the case. The guy I spoke to in the shop did'nt seem to be able to explain the differance in fact he he seemed to know less than I did but did'nt want to let it show. Clearly I want the best that I can buy, but I have never seen the point to wasteing my mony on featurs that would just not be used. So here I am asking some of the experts if they would be nice enough to take time to explain the differance.

Both the Black and white wii's are essentially the same except 2 things.

    1. The case, remote and nunchuck colours obviously,

    2. The black wiis definately have the new DVD Drive. The new drives are unable to read backup disks, and there is no fix yet (if ever) to remedy. This only affects you if you are planning to Softmod your console as you will only be able to use USB loaders, and not burnt disks.

      Thanks MetalKettle,
I guess I was way off the mark when I said that It cant just be a cosmetic thing. What will they all think of next pay more to buy a car in a different colour !?!
