Cannot wait to play Silent Hill!

I for one am now REALLY looking forward to playing this game, short campaign length despite replayability really doesn't bother me so long as the game is great while it lasts - Metal Gear Solid was a really short game and yet one of the best of all time.

Lack of weapons doesn't bother me either, in fact I believe this game to be more of a Silent Hill game than the originals were, bold statement for sure, but Silent Hill was never about the combat, it always sucked anyway, where Silent Hill always excelled and what it was always about was the immersion, the lingering feeling of dread, the weird *** storyline and moments as well as the debateably ambiguous characters. Now what better way to encapsulate and accentuate that than to do away with the weapons totally and essentially make it an adventure game where you get to talk to people and have dialogue trees and make extreme useage of your Wii remote, both of which add an incredible amount of personal touch and immersion to the game as well as slow the pace down considerably - if anything this game and the developers for that matter are fully embracing the soul or genesis of what Silent Hill was all about in the first place back in 1998 - daring to be original and daring to be different, presenting something slightly different to the gamer in such a way that they haven't seen before which makes the game refreshing, and that is why I believe this gamble will pay off very well and get this series back on track and give it some much needed lease of life because the last 3 SH games (Homecoming, Origins and The Room) were pretty average in my opinion especially compared to the first 2 games.

This game couldn't be more tailor made to my tastes I'll tell you that much. This is why I play games, to be immersed in the world and story and it's characters. And this game also couldn't embrace the whole point of Silent Hill more than it already is.

This game screams sequel already in this style, especially as there are improvements to be made for sure, the only snag is Akamoa or whatever his name is that composes the SH music has left Konami, I can only hope that they sign him onto future SH games as an independant contract, making his split from Konami purely financial, figuring he could get more money working indepentant contracts to do the exact same job making music for Silent Hill, because let's face it Silent Hill without him to compose the music just is not Silent Hill anymore.....
