Hi I currently have a v4 softmodded wii with homebrew channel, WAD Manager 1.4 and various VC apps as channels as well as the backup launcher. I also have bootmii installed as boot2, however I have not yet backed up my NAND yet, but intend to before updating. I previously installed bootmii as an IOS so don't know if that will cause a problem...
Anyway back to the question in hand: will updating to 4.2E brick my wii or can I update my wii to 4.2E and then applying the new softmod? Will I lose the VC apps that I installed?
Is it better revert my wii back to a default unmodded state and then updating and softmodding? If so how can i restore to defaults.
