got a new black wii for xmas what is the best way to go about playing burned games and whats the best discs for doing this on many thanks

Think your out of luck with playing DVDR's m8, you'll have to use a hard drive to run games from as the new black wii DVD drive's do not play back DVDR's DVD+R's.
Use the easy to follow softmod tutorial, try a burned DVDR but I think you'll just get an error m8.

cant play back ups by disc on black wii due to new chipset,softmod it yes an play games by usb hd like me

Sorry but no dvd backups for the new wii you have unless u swap out the drive...usb hd is the way to go anyway imho. Enjoy.
