Microphone do not work

HI My Son Have received rock band 4 xmas and have have buy a compatible microphone but do not work.

Message: Please insert logitech usb microphone into usb connector.
Please help.
I have aswell 2 more games on my Exsternal HD and the message it's the same....

As far as the microphone not detected thing, if you navigate the main menu using a Wiimote, the game assumes you are playing as a vocalist and will give you that error if the microphone isn't connected. In order to play on guitar or drums, you need to navigate the menu using the guitar controller or the drum controller and NOT the Wiimote.

If your microphone is connected and you're still getting this problem, try connecting it to a different port on the hub or do the Wii directly to try and troubleshoot where the problem is. If the microphone doesn't work on ANY port, then RMA it. If a port or multiple ports on the hub aren't working, RMA the hub.

It is sort of confusing...


However, here's what you need to do...


Plug in a regular game controller into one of the USB ports. Next plug in the mic into a different USB port.


The game will now recognize your mic and the game controller is used to make selections for the mic - such as okaying the mic, selecting the level of difficulty, or choosing a set list.


The game controller is required since the mic (by itself) can't make any game selections.
