How do I install anything on the Wii? I just purchased a unit that has softmod and do not want to risk damage that. I managed to find out that I am running v. 3.4

My Mrs was going to start the Your shape game but was asked to update before. Since my Wii is softmod (or changed chip...) I hesitade and tried to check internet before. That is whan I ended up here. Now I do want to get the game running but not ruin my softmod.

Is it just to download tha IOS58 and try to get it in somehow to the Wii? I know nothing about wadmanager either...

I have now found out that my Wii is not homebrew/softmod but changed chip in order to play many different games! Will this update ruin the chip?

no the update is just a ios file needed to run the camera

Bit confused, will the update only update the wii to enable the camera to work or will it wipe all my all hard work out?

Will it be easier to download a copy of the game and use the wad installer to get the camera to work?

to be on the safe side just install the wad Digital Kaos - Downloads - ios58-64v5918.wad with wad manager theres no need for a backup copy this will also get an original copy to asking to update
