    Wii Serial Tracker

Here is a site that will tell you what chipset your wii has and whether you wii has had the 3 drivechip legs removed. Which will help to determine which kind of modchip you require and the level of difficulty of the install.

    eg.
dms/d2a/d2b with drive pins not cut = easiest of installs, can be chipped with wiikey, cyclowiz, wiifree, yaosm, openwii etc.

d2b with drive pins cut = A little more tricky and risky install, requires the drive chip to be dremelled or legs rebuilt, can be chipped with the same as above.

d2c = hardest of all installs, requires between 13-31 wires soldered direct to the drive chip legs or to alternate via points (which require cleaning with a fibreglass pen), can be chipped with argon, d2pro, d2ckey etc.
