Can this be done ????? REALLY NEED HELP

Hi all, I have a wii with 4.2e firmware softmodded already BUT the drive has stopped working all together it powers up light works on the front and everything but after being on th wii menu for around 15 seconds the wii gives me a please eject the disc and power off the wii blabla. Now i have disconnected the power the the drive on the inside of the wii ( yes i have opened it and dissconnected the cable ) Only the power cable the laser connection is still connected NOW this stopped the please eject the disc and power off the wii blablabla but when going to usbloader ( neogamma R8 or Uloader ) to load the games i get nothing sometimes with uloader i get eject the disc and power of the wii blabla but neogamma never gives me an error just stays on a black screen wii-mote stays connected to the wii and so on.

NOW i would like to ask if there is a way i can get neogamma or uloader to load my games without the drive power cable connected.

P.S it still never worked with the power cable connected either removing it just stopped the wii giving me please eject the disc and power of the wii blabla. And yes i have tried another drive on the wii but to no joy it stillwont read wityh a working drive in it. All that happened was it was powered on after xmas and nothing would work in the drive thats it.

What happens when you have no disc in the Wii and you power it on ?
If nothing happens when there is no disc in the Wii, click on ULoader let that load up, put your disc in and load it up, does that work?

Hi thanks for the fast reply. to your ? Nothing happens disc in or not when the power cable is connected to the drive inside it wont read any discs but gives the error even when there is NO disc in the drive( put in manually ) with a working drive it wont accept discs or eject them. Yes i have checked all fuses and they are ok power is going to the drive . press a on the boot screen and wii menu comes on for about 15 seconds then give blank screen with please eject disc and power of the wii in a box thats all i have tried alsort but to no avail yet.

1. disc or no disc system menu gives the please eject and power of the wii
2 disc or no disc uloader or neogamma wont start a game neogamma just gives black screen with no errors or anything
3 uloader starts like its going to load but then gives there was an error please eject the disc and power of the wii. Please reffer to the wii operating manual.
4 with the power connecter disconnected from the drive inside i dont get the please eject the disc and power of the wii after 15 seconds on the system menu.

What about trying a usb drive or usb pen drive to see if you can get anything to work m8 ?
I've never seen anything like you have described m8, when did you buy it ?
Probably best to send it in for repair ?
Did this just happen after you softmodded it ?

Hi thats what im using. I have tried usb pen drive and sd cards and all the same results. It happened before it was even softmodded the idea came to me to softmod it as the drive stopped working but even when a replacement drive it still wont read eject or take discs so i have kept it as a backup to the one im using now. really it just stopped reading discs i did have the one im using now after to see if i could fix it but to no joy.

The one im having trouble with is my original wii that did work perfect up to one day then stopped reading discs. but i had an older one that wouldnt take or eject discs so when the one menssioned above stopped reading discs i took the drive out and put it in the one that i baught with a broken drive machanizem and put it in there and walla a working wii ( currently in use for COD MW reflex ) . so now i have a spare wii that the drive is broke and just wanted to see if i could get it working but just wont load games at all the closest iv got is with neogamma R8 on EA Games that comes up with EA games encounted an error please eject the disc and power of the wii. ( even with power to the drive disconnected. thanks again for any help.

PS iv never come across this problem myself before and i have had quit a few wii's come and go thru my hands
