you will be on the latest update,no need to worry about disc updates, you will have latest shop channel so you can download bbc iplayer and other apps, you can get preloader working if your bootmii was installed as iso, cant think of any reason to stop on 3.3

no the update wont stop you playin from disc, cause the 4.2 hack will take care of that, and when you start to hack the wii it will tell you to install bootmii,on older wii's this can be saved as boot2,on newer wii's it will be iso,if you can save as bootmii can can recover from a bricked wii using boot2,if you have to save as iso ,boot2 wont work so you need to install preloader to recover a bricked wii

no its not any harder for 4.2 than 3.3,and 4.2 is well supported, and i wouldnt tell you to do anything i would not do myself, there are one or two tutorials in wii downloads take your pick, one thing i would say is use a sandisk 2 gig sd card, this is a excellent tut http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...uide-67927/and dell is often online to help you out.
                    good luck

yeah mate i apperate the help im confused coz i been reading a guide on sofmod on another site for 3.1 - 4.1
                      its says
                      UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM MENU VERSION

Warning - If you don't install the patched IOS60 first you will brick!
If you are on 3.3 or 3.4 then you must update now - DO NOT install priiloader until you have updated as it will cause untold problems!.

This step is optional unless you are on 3.1, 3.3 or 3.4 in which case you must update, if you are on 3.2 or 4.0 you can update if you want and it is recommended that you do, if you are on 4.1 there is no need obviously!

so if i stayed on 3.3 i would have to update to 4.1 the guide on here i didnt read any of that on it?

ok that section of the guide your reading is for people with soft modded wii's,updating to 4.2 on a virgin wii has no risk what so ever,if done through nintendo.
