transferring iso from dvd-r to usb device help

i have some iso's burnt to dvd-r that i would like on my usb stick. my dvd drive cant read them, i did a bit of googling and tried deamon lite, but the file that it extracted from the disc is a MDF file and wbfs manager can't see it, is there any easier way to get back up game from dvd-r to usb? can it be done through my softmodded wii?

i just use imgburn to make a image on my pc takes 10 mins then use wbfs manager to put on hdd

If the DVD image file is a single over 4gig, then the usb device will have to be in formatted to NTFS standard.
