soft modding wii

Hi I am new to this forum and new to wii. Have just got a wii v3.1 and have had a go at soft modding, have the homebrew channel installed have tried to install a selection of wads but it would not install them all and the neo gamma came up with an error. also had problems installing the preloader. Have got all this software of utube. Can I install different wads and a new neogamma over the top of this that I have already installed. Much appreciate all the help.
