hi all, sort of new to this, how do i tell which version wiii i have, and does soft modding work? also whats the chances of bricking it, when soft modding

click wii settings on the menu screen and in the top left corner is your version number, how old is your wii? and the chance of bricking it are very slim unless you are a complete moron!!

softmodding it is a breeze, the main thing if yours was purchased at xmas that it will be one the newer dvd drive models meaning that you will only be able to play back up games of a external hdd as these newer wii's cant read back up discs.
