Big MESS with Soft Mod

Please could anyone help me, i soft modded my little boys wii at chrimbo, hooked it up to a external hard drive and installed coverflow, he was chuffed to bits...............
Last night i installed a router at home, completely forgetting that i switched off wii connect when softmodding.... Updated Wii, now no more softmod....
Is there anything i can do before my little un comes over from his moms tomorrow, before any of you say, yes i know im a total knob jockey, but my boys gonna be gutted.......Many Thanks in advance.

did you do a backup with priiloader or bootmii when you modded the wii?

No, just followed a guide i found called wii softmodding for newbies.. is that bad, been informed to downgrade firmware and reinstall, would that make sense ?

Ok just found paperwork, softmodded using bannerbomb and installed wad batch installer as i had firmware 3.2e at the time.

downgrading is not recommended, why not remod it with this tut http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...w-guide-67927/ bootmii or preloader wont help you out as there rendered useless when you update to 4.2

Just re-mod it with the methods for 4.2
