i would definatly back it up because they do brick. but they are some pretty fool proof guides out there

you can't backup your system untill you start to mod your wii

for months now youv'e been askin questions on modding your wii,just go online and update it to 4.2 and follow this guide http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...w-guide-67927/ this tut is bang up to date,dont worry about bricking it, as dell says a 100,000 views and no one as ever complained about bricking there wii,and within 20 mins you will be done and playing backups.

when i try to get on pro evo 10 to play online it asks for an update is this safe or will it over write softmod ?

from all ive read about the softmod for wii you have to turn off wii connect24 to skip updates, make sure its off and never update. modded mine but not played backups on it yet, turned off wii connect24 and will never update.

not completely true turning off wii connect 24 will only block official nintendo updates not game updates, as in the case of pes 10 it wants to update teams due to transfers and the like,but worth keeping it switched off if for no other reason your wii uses 2/3 less power in standby mode with it switched off

i have downloaded the software onto my sd card but when i access it from the console it doesnt show anything. what amm i doing wrong? do i need to move all the files outof the folders so that everything is in one location?

i have updated using online option and this console hasnt been modded in any way!
