why are wii graphics so poor?

some of the wii games that are out are poor in my opinion its like playing ps2 games. wots everybody elses views on this?

wii graphics are so poor as the console was for game play not pretty graphics, take, for example burger island, basic game silly graphics but had me hooked for weeks. Excellent graphics don't nescesarily mean excellent games, plus it lowers hardware specs and also price

buy a ps3 or xbox360 for graphix for PURE FUN WII !!!!!!!! and wii games are all single layer discs so info is kept to a minimal

The wii can have nice games (look at metroid) but i find they're games are much funner. I'd prefer to play a game than watch a movie

well the wii is a console maybe enfoqued on childs, never the wii can superate the graphics of ps3 or xbox, but have fun games for enjoy a little diferent that only sit and move the fingers if u want more interactive the wii is an option =P but the gamers prefer xbox, but well.... my brother enjoy the wii because he tell i enjoy play with diferents options on the wii mote =P, not for the graphis but i accept have wii games with really really poor graphis really horrible XD... (sorry for bad english)... =)

its nintendo they prefer silly childish graphics just look at the n64 then compare the graphics they havent changed much since the n64 was released in 1997!!!

lawl but, nintendo 64 rocks, i really enjoy play Legend of Zelda: Ocarine of time and Majora's Mask, ohh yeah and 007 <3 ohh.... yes.... old times XD ahahah lawl
