Foolishly upgraded my wii to 4.2 (well kids did) is there any chance you can downgrage to 3.4 (the best system menu i think) cause deleted homebrew channel tryed using bannerbomb with no joy says dodgy ISO installed cant go any futher all i need is to install homebrew channel any offers

no u cant downgrade from 4.2

u need to remove the ios249 stub
then all will be ok to reinstall everything

format will only wipe game saves and nothing else. try this. Softmod for ANY 4.2 Wii!

did you have cioscorps installed? if so you will need to fix the non vulnerable iso before you can install hbc try this


So you Went to install Hackmii and it said you can?t install.. I am guessing you have some sort of Cioscorp installed, such as softmii or something like that.

Here is how I got it to install because it gave me this error ?There's no vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii?

Here is your Fix:

You Need Wad Manager and IOS36-64-v1042.wad

1. Run Wad Manager and install IOS36-64-v1042.wad ( Please do NOT Un-install, just install this and it will over write the current one ).

2. Exit Wad Manager by pressing the HOME buttom on the WiiMote.

3. Run the Hackmii installer. (Install Hackmii (BootMii) to Boot2 if possible, HBC and ( DVDX

4. how to get wad manager working without homebrew channel
Get bannerbomb and wadmanager. Rename wadmanager boot.elf and put it on the root of the sd card along with the bannerbomb folder.
