N00b in need of help

Hi Guys,

Could some help me with Soft-modding my new Wii.

I want to be able to back up and play games from my external hard drive but Im gettin a bit confused.

I know i need to install Homebrew which seems doable but im getting confused because some Guides suggest that i should install Priiloader and others dont even mention it. Im confident i can do but im struggling with all the contradictive guides.

Also, what does the new update from Ade do? If i used that would it be a matter of simply installing homebrew then using his new thingymabob? And do i need to use Priiloader at all?

You need to install homebrew before you can install preloader. if you read through the guide the files are there in the complete download. unzip them to your sd card put it in your wii. Go into wii settings first and turn off connect 24 and then install the HBC from the sd and follow the rest of the guide TO THE LETTER! coz 1 mistake will brick your new wii. As for priiloader all this is for is a backup way of getting to your wii system files should you turn it into a brick, so you can load on your Nand backup image you have made to bring it back to life.
