foolish newbie needs help

I recently took the plunge and bought a wii from a pal who had 'backed up' a lot of games onto a hard drive. It's a usb loader but there are some games I'd like to download. He suggested I used WFBS manager but the bugger has just gone away on holiday, I'm fairly sure his games are ISO so do I need to specifically download ISO or Pal versions? I'm assuming nstc is pointless

all dowloaded wii backups are iso, Pal and NTSC are for different regions Pal for europe and NTSC for usa etc. But both Pal and NTSC will work. yes use WBFS manager. hope this helps
