    can anyone confirm the success with the wii software mod to allow playing of backed up/copy games and any potential for faults?

      100% success and never been so easy as long as you follow every step word for word
      what system menu are you on?

          If it's black Wii ONLY games loaded on Hard Drive will play and NOT backup disc. Whereas white Wii BOTH hard drive and disc will play fine.
