wii homebrew channel

Today I managed to install the hombrew channel on my wii now i want to no what files to load so i can play back up games from the drive or from an external hard drive and what the best external hard drive to buy, I think the wii i got is the newer one white and i am told it wont play back up games through the drive have not tried this yet as i have only put the homebrew channel.

help needed thanks.

& if its got the new drive in it u can still play back ups by usb or hard drive im sure
but CK-OK ur man when it come to wii
