softmod without sd

hi all i have my external hdd with games on via wbfs manager and also have a ntfs partition with mod files on i have installed homebrew neogamma and wiiflow and all was working well but one of the kids have took the sad card out and lost it .

is there a way to load the mod files onto the ntfs partition for them to work or are they really needed on the sd card ?

From what i understand homebrew has to be loaded off a fat32 drive or partition, on th HDD

so if i create a fat 32 partition it should work will try that now cheers

Mark the partition as Active, normally when your setting up your wii HDD for the firsttime you format the FAT32 partition first, then allocate space for the WBFS partition.

ok have created a fat 32 partition and loaded with the files i had originally on my sd card but games still not loading the just going to black screen

black scren means can't find the boot.dol
can you see your apps from the HomeBrewChannel? on the HDD?

it did do the first time i loaded home brew but when i exited to main menu then back again it didn't show them

cheers for the help Renke I have managed to get it working now well sort of some games are working and some aint that was before games that dont wor now are

wii fit plus
mario kart
wii sports resort

What cIOS are you using to launch them?
What cIOS's do you have installed?

to be honest i aint got a clue i just followed a guide step by step and games have worked never had one not work when the files were on the sd card.
