    imgburn wii

Hi, im trying to burn my first downloaded wii iso file (hasbro family game night vol 2) onto dvd using imgburn
i downloaded it fine, extracted it but then it still come up as a winzip file?? is that normal do i burn it as a winzip file?
when I right click on it and extract with winzip it opens up the winzip window and its blank?? any ideas

the file size is 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) which is correct

when i tried to burn it (x4) first part ok, manually closed the tray then at 48% kept getting errors (max 3) but just kept popping up so i chose ignore all then it wouldnt get past 48%

I wouldnt have thought the wii would be able to do anything with a winzip file anyhow

    What am i doing wrong?

The disk is a Pleomax by Samsung x4 dvd-rw

    Thanks in Advance

You are correct needs to be a .iso file for the wii to play it. Sounds like you have a bad download? Where did you download from? wiiiso.com is a decent place for torrents if that's your preferred method?

Isohunt where I get my films from using flashget. I always check the comments & ratings first. Strange got another couple mid download so when there finished will try them. Cheers for the advice for wiiiso.com will also try that

Also I wanna buy some DVD-r to burn to. Firstly use my rw to test then use the -r to burn to. I've seen Verbatim 25 pack x16 Dvd-R HS will these be ok if I write at x4 speed or am I looking for x4 disks?

          first off open winrar,
press ctrl & S this will open winrar settings,
          click on the "integration" tab
where it says "associate with winrar" there will be a list of file extentions, untick "iso"
          click ok.
          now you can close winrar.
this will stop winrar seeing iso's as winrar files.
then right click the iso file and choose "burn using imageburn"
          I burn at 4x on cheap 16x maxell dvd +r booktype'd as dvd-rom,

if you gett errors whilst burning it's either the disks you are using or your burner.
oh yeah dvd-rw dont work very well.

I get maybe one out of 5 RW disks that actually work... but yeah I had the same issue and it seems to be cleared up by following the instructions.

Just wanted to add that I burn on FujiFilm DVD-R and DVD+R with success.

TDK DVD-R (Blue color) is also good but TDK DVD Lightscribe failed... I tried like 3-4 discs without ever get the Wii to read.
