how to stop wii updating

hi guys i unfortunatly updated my wii and lost the ability to load backup games with all your help i managed to get it up and running again thank god however when turn the wii on the first box where the game normally appears says system update how do i make sure my wii never updates again

ur already on 4.3 so u cant update any higher. the update ur looking at is because ur wii needs an ios to play that game. if u have priloader installed u can block online and game updates from the priiloader menu

it plays all the games i'm interested to no now but my wireless network only has named ip address to connect to the internet the wii has not so hopefully it should be ok

you have gone to the trouble of remodding your wii you may aswell install preloader, Preloader - WiiBrew and for the hacks Preloader/hacks - WiiBrew

what game did you update from? and have you tried a few games, and does the homebrew channel work?

ok tried a few copied games with no luck i was loading the games from neogamma before the update but no get a black screen when clicking on it also
the copied games never used to show in the top left box the original games did but the copied games do now but when you click on start game you get an error telling you to turn off the console and read user manual

went into homebrew select bootmi
then install all the wads 19 altogether i .restarted the wii loaded a backup game from neogamma worked again then i noticed the game channel said wii system update again purely for educational purposes i went into my wireless settings and made sure i deleted the network i then went back to the disc channel where it says wii system update clicked on it and it updated to my horror even with no network available' how easy is this for my 6 year old to do god i will be messing with this every day i reckon
it would be good to get it off the disc channel

well i thought updating from the disk on 4.3 would just install a missing ios to play that as u cant update any higher to cause any problems?

hold in reset button as u power up the wii will bring u into priloader

thanks mate your a star theres loads in that menu i dont understand is there some sort of guide that explains what each thing does is there a way to start your backup game from the disc channel
