    Soft Mod a 3.4e - upgrade first?

Hi, I've been lurking about on various wii modding forums and am now getting closer to giving it a go. My wii is at 3.4e and I'm noticing that most the recent guides are for 4.0 onwards. Would there be any benefit in upgrading the FW then doing the softmod?

I'm thinking not but thought it would be worthwhile checking.

    Regards
    Rich

If you haven't already modded your wii, why not do a disc update with, I think NSMB carries a 4.1 update, and then do the 4.1 softmod.

To be honest ck-ok, I didn't even look at the 4.3 hack, but I will now that you said its tricky, I might learn something. Here's one for you, when I started on a 3.1e, I updated with mario & sonic @ the olym. games to 3.4 so I could softmod. I used Dogeggs guide to get me to 4.0 installed the patched 60, and then 4.1 safe firmware update. Arse about face or what. Now I see xflak40 has an all in one now, modmii, have you seen it?.

Red Devil is right! This latest software is way user friendly and it also create you a guide as well which is a bonus. Have a look at this CK
ModMii for Windows (Formerly known as NUS Auto Downloader)

It does look very tricky ck, but you've got a very detailed tutorial there, nice 1.
