4.2e softmod problems please help!!

hello!

i have been trying to get my 4.2 wii softmoded but i am having nothing but trouble.

i was getting confused with crappy guides all over the net, then i stumbled on this web site and realised that the guide i was after was here all along

after reading a very helpfull guide on this site i thought i was finnally getting there

a truely amazing guide comnpared to the other crap out there....
so as i was saying all was going well untill i tried the last steps

8. Still in MMM, press up to select Run WAD Manager, then press A.

9. Press 1 to select all the wad files in the folder, then press A to continue.

If you get any install errors with the above wads, try step 7.1 above and then try again.

so i got errors installing 4/8 error ret = 1022 and 7/8 same error

and when i try steps 7.1 and retry then all 8/8 all fail and i cant open uloader

can any one please help a poor noob out, as i have no clue why this is happening, and after 3-4 days of trying my head has started hurting :<

edit i 4got to mention bootmi wont load either :x

try a different sd card sandisk 2gig work well

i have a 2g sandisc card!

anyways i restarted the process from the begining and this time when i got the 2 errors instead of going to step 7.1 i just restarted my wii and now i have uloader working

so i m not sure if this is working propley or not.

how do i test it? i m guessing by dling a gam and see if i can get it working

the only thing is i CANNOT get bootmi to lauch at all, and before i continue i really want to back up my wii incase soming goes wrong ^^

and looking at all the steps in the guide it doesnt really say anything about bootmi?

is this a seperate thing i must get working with some other guide?

edit : ps 1 last thing do i need Gamma to pklay games or is Uloader an equivilant piece of software??

neogamma is well worth having,as for bootmii try installing bootmii and the homebrew channel again
