    Wii Questions - 4.2e

    Hey guys,

Just got a Wii it is on 4.2e.

If i follow the soft mod guide shown here; click

Will i be able to download Wii iso files and burn them to a DVD-R and play then straight on the Wii without an external HDD Purchase?

Also, if that is true, is there a guide on how to back up/burn Wii games?

    Thanks folks.

      Hello,

I will check my serial in next 30 mins but thanks in advance, i will check the tutorial out.

Also, once sorted, will i require a USB HDD or can i burn the games to disc some how (is there a guide?) and do it that way, as i have millions of blanks lying around!

      Thanks a bunch

        Serial number: LEH176413086
The Wii has a RVL-001(EUR) model number and is produced for the European market. The copyright year is 2006.

There is a 100% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C (v1).
        That is serial

            Hey,

            Thanks!

So i can go ahead and do this: Wii 4.2E Load Backup Games from USB HDD | Rob Mulally

and then it will be ready for me to play a game i will be putting onto disc as soon as it is downloaded?

As simple as putting the disc in and playing?

Thanks, sorry i am so new!

            edit:

First, make sure that before following this tutorial that you have a modchip installed. If you do not: "This Will Not Work"
ah! - that means i need an external HDD right? I thought i would have been able to play from discs
