wii firmware update for i player

ok i would like to use wii for i player. my current version is 4.2e (kids updated from j.dance2 this week) and i have a wiikey2 fitted (so im now stuck with euro gms) .
as i understand i need to get shopping channel ? ive never done this in the years we have owned it.
to get this it wants to update, im guessing 4.3e?

will this have any negative effect on my chipped wii ?
