Wii semi bricked help please

Hi all ;-) ok long story hard mod Wii and trying to soft mod it, it says it's on 4.2e but only way I can get hbc on it is the 4.3 way with indiana game then I load as guide says and every time I put disc in it comes up 001 error :-( the Wii was semi bricked with a update on music on broadway game but I was able to unbrick any help as to the best way to go please.ty in advance

001 error, when was the last time you updated your chip ?

That's why I want to softmod this one ain't got a clue what chip is installed

The 001 error is an out dated cIOS or ios, if you could open your wii to find out what chip you've got, and take a look at the stickies above, it might sort you out. Unless there's another way to find out. You could also have a read here, there's a hardmod section.

If it's saying 4.2 in system menu can I take it it's not 4.3 I know I might sound stupid but the only way I could install hbc was with Indiana game and I don't know what upgrade was installed with that broadway game

If it say's 4.2 then it's 4.2.

I went through 4.2 soft mod followed it to the letter like I have done with other wiis and I still get 001 disc error any more help please it's a sob this 1 :-)

I known this is a obvious question...but r you sure ur discs dvd-r

no problem yes they are its doing my head in i even tried upgrading to 4.3 and softmodding just dance 2 played once then i got 001 error again

its softmodded now? or is that an original game ?

yes its softmodded 4.3 when i finished the mod back up games ran a few times then 001 error came back it must be the chip in it kicking in perhaps ???

I'd say you need to find out what chip is in your wii, and update it, or get a hdd and use a usb loader, no need for disc's then. You've just done the 4.3 softmod so your cIOS should be up to date.
