Wouldn't update through a disc, just to be safe. Have a look on here. Take a look in the stickies above too. Know nothing bout hardmod's m8.

Sorry m8, should av explained myself better. I've a softmod, if I update with a disc, ( an original game ), it'll change my system menu version from 4.1e to what ever the disc carrries ( 4.2 or 4.3) and would kill my softmod. So, was just saying if your not sure, don't do it. If you go to the web site for your chip, you can update it safely, I would imagine. Or there's info in the stickies above.

I think its completely different with a Wiikey...I know what you are on about with the softmodding, as i also help with a friends wii that runs neogamma. It has been said that the wiikey is completely undetectable, but after 15 minutes of gameplay it stops the game and displays a message saying that the console has a unauthoried modification...
