thanks for the quick reply, the wii was previously hardchipped and played back up dvds apparently, could it be thats its not a virgin wii that the hack hasnt worked?

ive got loads working on my own wii , just spoke to lad and he reckons it plays back up discs, so its a mystery to me, just tried a different mod but still the same prob.

i am using my working back up discs but none of them will play on the 4.3 although as i say the fella says it played back ups previously when it was chipped.

install all the wads in the wad folder of this tut http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-3-mod-157379/ because we know this works.
try cleaning the dvd drive with a cd cleaner.
put your serial number in here to see what drive you have Wii Drive Chip Database

Great tut, easy to follow, and also a fun game to use for the exploit (after finishing the softmod I actually went back and played the next 3 levels as well. I was bored ok?)

Only thing I would point out about the tut is that there are a few implied steps that unless you're switched on and thinking about what you're doing, could run you a cropper - e.g. after reformatting the SD and installing the WADS there's no instruction to insert the SD card back to the Wii. also, probably should be an important footnote to leave the SD card in the Wii afterwards - I almost used an SD card my missus needs for her digital camera.

Overall though, good tut, easy tof ollow, and good tools, thanks!

Content decoding failed

When dloading the 4.3 hack from the download section it gets to around 17.5mb downloaded and says cannot download 4.3_hack from digital-kaos.co.uk content decoding failed!

This has happened like 5 times today and Im totally stumped. I have never ever ever seen such a error message nor have had any downloading problems before this.

Has anyone got any ideas as to why Im getting this error and how to correct it?

Im a using a HP slimline desktop with genuine hp win 7 premium in case that matters.

you know what an easy solution


order a faulty nintendo wii only with disdrive problems, make sure its a 4.0 motherboard or something and replace my motherboard with it problem solved

yes you can hardmod it then use a backup copy.
you live in london get out and look for the games,most shop don't know what they have try petrol stations/poundstretcher/wilkos all these shops are places people never look.everybody is looking at game/amazon/ebay
