Ok first go at writing tut so if anybody see's something I've missed feel free to add to thread.
1. Format either a partition on your hdd or SD whatever you want to use for game saves to FAT32.
Remember game saves are relatively small files (wii memory is about 512mb) so you won't need much more than a few gig.
2. Download Digital Kaos and install with wad manager. This is your forwarder channel courtesy of CK-OK.
3. Download Digital Kaos - Downloads - uloader 5.1e and extract apps folder to whatever you want to use as Fat 32.
Word of warning at this point if you choose to extract to hdd you will have to launch uloader from HBC as forwarder will only launch from SD. This is not a problem as you can have uloader on sd but still save to emulated nand on hdd. If you choose to boot hdd from HBC you will have to press the no1 on the wiimote when on HBC to choose option to boot from hdd instead of SD.
4. Assuming you already have game files on hdd start uloader and you will see all the games but no covers. Click on a game and choose configure, if you want to add the covers choose add PNG bitmap at top right (optional)..then go back to configure options.
5. Click Saves & DLC in the centre at bottom. On the top row you will see NAND SD USB then on the right NAND Export save. Select where you want to store game saves.. Either SD or USB. This will be whatever you formatted to Fat 32 then click NAND Export save this will copy the game save from the wii to a folder wherever you chose earlier click ok bottom left then go back to main screen and repeat for all games.
6. Whenever you add a new game you must go to configure and select usb or sd so that uloader knows where to create game save.
7. Once you are happy all your game saves have transfered successfully you can either delete them from the wii memory or use my recommended option of transfering them to a small capacity sd and keeping it safe until you have played all the games a few times and created updated save files.
Hope this helps anybody in the same position as me where the bairns NEED that many game saves just incase they ever play it again that the wii memory just isn't big enough.
And just to add. Any download content can also be stored on emulated nand so no more worrys about all them dancing and singing downloads using up the memory....OH JOY what have I done..
After testing I have discovered that cod black ops will not load online or zombies from emulated nand so for this game leave the configure settings to load game save from true nand (default setting)
If you decide not to add the cover for the game before setting the game save to either sd or hdd and then add the cover at a later date or after you have set the game save the game save options will go back to the true nand on the wii and you will have to change the settings again.....In short I have found it better to add the game cover first then set the saves and dlc. When you add the covers for new games this will not affect the game saves in any other game that is already on the hdd
