    GX USB Loader & NTFS

Arggh! I'm pulling my bloody hair out here! Wasted hours on google already...

I can load games from GX Loader no problem, but I cannot get my own games to backup!

I keep seeing guides that show it detecing a disc insert and popping up the option to "Install" or "Mount" - this does NOT happen! I have a mount option at the top (CD icon).

I read on one forum the option to install is possibly disabled if your HDD is NTFS??

    Can anyone confirm/deny this?

    Thanks!

You don't use the dvd icon. On the bottom left of the main screen next to the settings cogs there is small + button ( I can just about see it on my tv) press that and it will ask if you want to install game click yes and follow instructions

What a load of sh!t - I've re-formatted now in FAT32 and hey presto, there is + icon there and it now auto detects when games are in!

I wasted 3 or 4 hours ****ing about with my wii and googling this issue, its a bit rubbish when apparently other tools can rip it to NTFS..

Oh well, at least it's working now! I didn't want to go back to work tomorrow with this job not complete!

P.S. I earlier tried clicking the bottom left corner incase I couldn't see the "tiny" icon - what a pleb, I thought it would be weird if I couldn't see it on a 42" TV!

Have a look at this list m8 USB Loader Releases - WikiTemp you should be able to rip to ntfs. I have just changed from gx to uloader because it allows me to put my game saves onto an emulated nand on hdd instead of wii memory.

No not all. Have a look at the link in the reply above this one and you will see a compatabilty list for what current usb loaders can and can't do.
