priloader question

hi guys i am softmodding a wii on 4.0 firmware using this guide...
New 3.1 - 4.1 Softmod for any Wii - Wii Softmodding

i have tried to update to 4.1 but there doesnt seem to be anything on card, other than a wad installation that tried to connect to internet, and i was worried it may just go straight to 4.3. The question really is, is it safe to install priloader on 4.0 firmware thanks.

dont think you can m8, update to 4.1 first, there should be a safe 4.1 update on here.

Ps. don't just go updating it, you MUST install ios 60 patched or oyu will brick

thanks red devil. i installed the patch and there was a safe updater in the mod pack, but as i say it was trying to connect to the internet and i was worried it would bypass 4.1 and go straight to 4.3

Nah you should be fine, it's a 4.1 updater, all it's doing is getting the relevant files on the net. Load it up and let it do it's thing. And enable what ever hacks you need when it's done. The usual one are block /online / disc / updates and enable region free.

Not sure if there's an offline update for 4.1, if you'd feel more comfy with that, but if you wait till ck comes on, he'll tell ya for sure.

he could use http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...34/#post830391 using the upgrade option this will download all the wad files to his pc.

thanks for the help fellas, followed reddevils advice and done the safe updater option, worked a treat.
