PS3 Gubbed since network went down???

My sons PS3 started switching itself off and on whilst the network went off...now its back on again my sons PS3 wont go on at all......any suggestions anyone?

Or is there a light sequence on the front when you turn it on ?

Its Green, then yellow and then flashes Red continually

thats called YLOD , how old is the console?? if still under warranty take it back, if not contact sony and see what they say theyd prob offer you a refurb unit for 150 odds (could be less)

also theres plenty of tutorials on youtube explaining how to fix it but this means opening the console and heating the board with a heatgun etc so would need someone technically minded
