What is involved in downloading a ps3 game?

There's a little of about 7 yrs who lives across the road from me. I want some games that would be suitable for his age. Anyway i'm presently downloading KUNG FU PANDA from DIVX, i've never downloaded a game before so i don't know what is involved in getting a game to play on the PS3. His PS3 hasn't had an update in about 3yrs. Can any of you guys tell me the process from downloading to actually playing the game on the PS3,what needs to be done. Thanks in advance for replies.

You'll need to upgrade the system software to a cracked version. Currently your system software needs to be v3.55 or below. Anything above that and playing downloaded games isn't possible.

PS3 Hacking For Dummies explains the process in layman's terms. It's all done with an ordinary USB stick, and is pretty easy to do. That's the PS3 bit done.

You download the games in the same place all other pirated material is download, most commonly from BitTorrent or Newsgroups. BitTorrent is free, but the best trackers are usually invite-only. Newsgroup is paid access, but is safer and, well, generally better imo than BT.

Google either method and you'll find all the info you need.
