Can anyone give me a fix for my PS3 my son used BBCIPLAYER for the first time and when he came out of it and tried to open another file it froze . Any solutions? thanks in advance for replies

Could you give more information on about how it froze?
Try rebooting it and see what happens?

i only know what i told you. he has a load of video files in the HDD i don't know if he went through net to use bbciplayer, don't know if he has the icon. But he said he finished using iplayer tried to open mrs browns boys and wallah it froze.

hmmm, maybe its the hard drive is too full?
What gig is it and how many files are in there?
Try deleting a few files, then reboot it

320 he filled it recently, on that note your likely to be right, never thought of that . i'll txt n tell to delete files as he uses them . THANKS FOR THAT

hey if the drive is full then you may face this issue ,two things to do is to remove a few files say at least have 10gb free and see if the problems still exists

second thing you could do i restore the file system as this could have got corrupted . to do this you have to go into hidden secret menu(google or youtube serarch this) and click restore file system...dont worry its safe and will not erase any of your data or anything like that but restore all the necesarry files in order for your console run smoothly again REMEMBER dont touch any of the other setting/options unless you know wha yo are doing

funny you should say that my own ps3 froze, i turned it off and when i switched it on i asked me to do as you just said scanned for corrupted files. he might be up for a visit later to day. He 20miles away. thanks for that
