Just sat down for my nightly couple of hours on the PS3. I use headphones because the kids are upstairs but tonight, no sound. Think the headphone socket on the tv is broke as the headphones work on the pc.

Can anyone recommend a pair of headphones that can be used on the PS3 without the need for the tv socket?

And how would I do it?

I just want basic headphones, don't need a headset with a mic. As long as I can play games with sound is good enough for me.

i got some turtle beach p11 for 40 quid even with mic on well worth the money

you can set the ps3 to use multi audio out, so if your using an hdtv, you can plug in the vga cable and just use the red and white into an adapter with an 3.5mm jac on it, pretty easy to come by think ive got around 3 lying about , but you should be able to do that no probs
