noob help please

hi guys need some info. I bought a faulty ps3 off eBay the guy said that it works but does not play DVDs so i thought probz something to do with the disc drive but when i received the item today i opened it up the ps3 has already been opened previously and there was no disc drive inside it had been took out so how can i get the ps3 back up and running is there any way to do so or am i f***ed?

i presume you would have to buy a disc drive and install it

your ~~~~ed, new drive mate. he did say it would not dvds, what did you expect, if it cant read those, how could it read game

yes I know that mark8393 but he did not state that there was no disk drive at all. All he said was working but does not play DVDs so instantly you would think probz just a laser problem or something you would not think that the seller took out the whole drive and sold it separately
