there's no softmod period

only way is to downgrade with a hardware flasher to 3.55 and go from there mind you this only can be done on 3.55 capable ps3's

ive scouted about on net and found that i can downgrade to 3.66 then again to 3.55 this would rule out using e3 flasher im told
ok what im trying to do is play ps3 games via an external hard drive hopefully using a programme like wii flow for the wii which ive done in the past but now want to do the same with the ps3 its bugging me like crazy

jhaxvile and teerak2uk are 100% correct you cannot softmod a PS3 on 4.11 you need hardware and the right sort of PS3
