Hi guys i believe the laser is faulty on a PS3 that i have ' I have cleaned the laser but its still not reading the discs 'it try's but reckon its fried.

Just wondered if anyone in the Birmingham area has a new one for sale that i could pick up

Sometimes its down to a chip on the board have you tried normal DVD instead of bluray

I havent to be honest but occasionly a game will load and freeze after a while some time the disc just wont read you can here it trying though.

This chip thing can you tell me a little more ?

Quick update guys i ordered anew laser complete with guides' stripped it down and installed the new laser in 5 mins .

as soon as i inserted the disc it started straight away.

Guess that means man 1 machine nil
