The PS3 can be hacked... I'm at work so I'll post links later but a group have managed to get nes and sega roms running of the xmb... though its only available for systems with ps2 backwards compatability.
theres also little java based games being created by people using a java exploit in the blu-ray data files.. so far the usuals like snake and pong but sho knows what creativity will come out... but if nes and sega roms work of the xmb not long to wait for ps1 and maybe a little neo geo action..PSN = Sig-gotyouthComment
