    Skyplayer

I'm new to this one. I, have the opportunity to use someone else's skyiplayer on my ps3. 1, what details do i need in order to get a username & password. 2, There is a distance of sixty miles between me & the person who is letting me use their player, daft question but could it be relevant. 3, would i have to use my laptap to stream files to my ps3 or do i copy directly unto my ps3 hard drive using iplayer on my ps3.At the moment i can watch BBC iplayer on my ps3. 4, can i stream ie live footy from my pc to ps3. All my starview channels will be off before and of September so any and all information is welcome. Thanks for replies folks.

Sky player requires Microsoft Silverlight to be installed on any device you want to play in on.
    This is for Windows only.
I have tried to find an Android version to no avail.
The only way for you to play it on a large TV is to do what i have done.
I use the HDMI out on my HP DV 9500 lap top into my AVR and then to my TV.
Or you could get an HTPC and do it that way.

I use my ex wifes account details for my Sky player.
They live about 35 miles away and have not had any problems.
You will need the number from their viewing card and their payment account details.
Then you will need to register for an account and then create a login and password.

I think its free if your mate has a multi room sub with sky.
If you have a 360 and a gold live membership then you can go down that route
        ?45 ish per year.
Ive never tried it on a 360 myself (Waiting for the next ban wave)
So i am not sure if it will work from a different address but i cant see that being a problem.

All my 360's have been flashed
as such MS can probably tell i have a modified FW if i ever go on live with it.
A few times a year MS will ban all the consoles they know to have been modified.
Meaning all live content is disabled.

The last big "Ban Wave" happened last November when nearly 500,000 consoles worldwide were banned.

I hardly use my 360's anymore TBH i use my ps3's for gaming now.(Free online gaming for the moment anyway)

This might change when i get my Fanatec racing wheel to replace my Logitech G27

I don't think i'll bother doing anything with my xbox, i'm just happy that i can use knect or skyplayer if anyone wants to game they can buy the games they'll have free online gaming curtesy of my pocket.i'll have ps3, xbox and a external hard drive filled with tv goodies. You know what they say, "little amuses the innocent".
