PS3 Jailbreak foir Nokia N900 Released.

I thought the Android version would have popped up first, but lucky Nokia owners have beaten them.

    Code:
So here?s how it works.. download the .tar.gz, extract it, copy the files to your n900 (with scp, into /root), then ssh into your N900 and type : ./psfreedom-enable.sh

Then you can follow the usual procedure, unplug the PS3 from power, plug in the N900, connect the power to the PS3, then press power and *quickly* press the eject button? Then just let the magic happen!

Once you?re done or want to revert back to the normal operation mode of the N900 (or to charge it) run the command ./psfreedom-disable.sh

In the future, we?ll have a nice package to install, a GUI application, I?ll make use of the LEDs to show you the status of what it?s doing, and i?ll have it auto-revert to mass storage mode, so you can use your N900 not only to enable homebrew but also to store your homebrew!

    See you tomorrow! Good night!

Fair enough donating AFTER it's released, but you just never know whether or not these things are a scam.

I've got a rooted Android phone and a hacked PSP, so I'm not bothered which one comes first. I'd prefer the PSP one I suppose since I use my phone more often.

This is all great news for us, but think about all the resellers who paid for stock, they have little or no chance of getting a refund also the arse has fallen off the market anyway, who's going to pay ?90 for a genuine PS3 Jailbreak when the market will soon be awash with ?20 clones and other entirely free methods.

Well Sony did this too themselves, By taking this through the Courts in Austrailia in a Bid to Ban resellers selling this USB device, once they started legal proceedings, it was easer for the Hackers to cut their losses and release it freely onto the Web.

No reseller should be holding stock of this Item, and thoses who are will still find a Market but not for 100 quid maybe 20 to 30 now it been released to the world.

Unfortunatly I see Sony closing this loophole in a upcoming Firmware upgrade somehow, if it does survives the next update it will work for ever.

It was inevitable that it would be cloned and an open source version released. That would have happened regardless of whether SONY had taken legal action or not. Yes no reseller is actually holding stock but the payments have been taken, accounts have been frozen and all stock is to be handed over to SONY. Considering the minimum trader order was 250 units at approximately $88 each (AFAIK), that sort of layout without any chance of compensation will be enough to sink a fair few smaller online stores etc.

Yes SONY will be frantically trying to close it but they way I see it, we are all in for another PSP cat and mouse marathon, SONY closes it with firmware x.xx, hackers re-enable it, so on and so forth...

I see the Palm Pre is the latest device added to the list of working hacks.

Now it's available on a PIC chip!

                    This is crazy.

Not my article, copied from a popular playstation hacking forum.

The world shortage is going to now spread from the Atmel chips, over to the Microchip family of PIC's.

MmueRtTe has released his port of the PSGroove over to the PIC Family, using the PIC18F2550 chip.

Currently the code is a little rough, you might have to reset a few times for it to work, due to the fact the PIC really is slower family of micro-controllers, but I sure it will be improved by others, but it is truely a step in the right direction, since it looks like the Atmel factorys will be not able to supply the sudden demand of chips for Blackcat or Teensy boards for at least 16 weeks, once the next batch of orders already paid for are processed and shipped.

PLEASE NOTE: Currently the attached files are just source code, you need to be able to use this program: CCS compiler V4.112 to compile the code into an .HEX file, but this program is NOT FREE, plus the chip does not have a pre-programed boot-loader, so you need to have a PIC programmer also or build one.

Why is it a 400mb download??

The actual hack itself is only a few Kb.

So how did the Beta go?

Not much info coming from that guy these days, looks like he's taken his money and ran!

The iphone file was just 400 mb of junk, nothing in it. A folder called east india company full of 29, 11mb files and that's all.

Didn't make any sense to me.
