faulty ps3 please help

The Fault with my PS3 is that it Freezes after about an hour of play, when you boot it back up it wont load any game or Blu-Ray.
Also sometimes when you turn it on you wont get a Picture and have to do the reset console options (hold the reset button till it beeps 2 times) does anyone know what could be wrong with it? its a 60gb original one thanks in advance em

well deff isnt the HD, laser reader or cd/dvd drive,

sounds a little more complex. better off taking it to shop, most places give you quote before a repair.

Check to see if all vents are clear. Hoover out. See if it is getting hot. Could be Power supply problem.

I would say its overheating as well but not to the extent in which you get YLOD. But sounds to me like it isnt far off. A good clean might solve the problem although a strip and reapplying thermal paste to the processors might do the trick as well. If not a gentle heat and reapply thermal paste then out it all back together.
