Ext HDD backups

Is there any way to backup a game onto a ext HDD. Have a 1Tb. I know fat32 doesnt allow file copy over 4gb but is there a way round this as only have a 40gb ps3.
Any advice would be very grateful

no problem at all with jailbroke ps3 and external tb im using psgroove hermes 3 and pretty manager also able to download drag drop hop this helps

G:\GAMEZ
