Hi can you use any other controllers on the ps3 and is there any way of using xbox 360 controller on it if use USB? Thanks

Yes...
And NO.
You "used to" be able to just plug in an adaptor to a usb port like the Cross Battle Adaptor.
The new firmware to evade the PS3 Jailbreak however disabled functionality of certain third party USB devices so it no longer works.
There may be other adapters on the market that work but you would be throwing money at the problem with no guarantee of it working.
The only other way is to get a 360 pad and a DS3 pad and frankenstein your way to victory like this handly little Endgadget article.
The downside is that the DS3 D-Pad is awesome whereas the 360 version sucks ass, everything else in the 360 pad is superior in my opinion.
As another road to consider: ive had pretty decent success with aftermarket mods for my DS3.
A set off triggers
picked up for a few quid in Gamestation, make a significant difference, they just clip on and work.
The next thing is the nipples, i hate the DS3 convex sticks and much prefer the better grip of the 360's concave setup.
You can get aftermarket latex covers like these:

I took things a step further by buying up some fishtank plant weights (little lead strips) and inserting them into my DS3's housing to give it some more weight (the DS3 is way to light and flimsy when your comming directly from a 360 pad) and improve its balancing
Total mods cost me around ?6.00 and took 20 mins to fit and make the pad somewhat bearable.
?2.50 for the triggers ?2.50 for the nipples, ?0.50 for the lead and ?0.50 for superglue to make sure the lead doesnt move around.He who laughs last thinks slowest. -
