just downloaded a copy of this game.. but when i unzip it, a single iso file is produced... which is over 4gb which wont fit onto my external drive....

usually all the games i get the unzip file creates a folder with various subfolders and single files all of which are under 4gb

what can i do with this?

ftp it to your ps3 using ftp pkg and an ftp on your pc

i dont have space on the internal drive... thats why im using an external drive... so what are my options?

Ive never bothered with an external hard drive i just updated my internal to 500gb and ftp everything across.
From what ive read on google you have to have the game in a zip folder on your pc and then extract straight to the external drive but i havent tried it myself.

ive read on another website that you have been asking in that you have your file in an iso format?ive never seen a ps3game in iso format
