thats for the info... i didn't know that would could update a game file... i thought if done so it would banned the PS3 or cause us to update the Firmware?

No need to connect to psn, (you can't anyway) so no ban possible and no it doesn't update firmware - its been thoroughly tested and found to be working fine, I think there are a couple of games requiring a game disc in to run & update but for the rest no disc needed.
