JB Questions

Forgive me, I am new to PS3 having just changed from X360. I have read a number of threads but cannot find definitive answers to these 3 question. I would appreciate yes/no answers rather than conjecture/opinion:

1. Once u have updated to fw 3.41 and installed JB dongle u cannot play online (even with original disc)

2. Once installed, there is no way to delete JB and/or 'rollback' system to previous state so online play is once again possible.

3. If I want to install JB on a console that is already updated to fw 3.5, is it possible to overwrite this with 3.41 from a USB stick?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have installed JB and backup manager, but when I run backup manager it will not allow me to select the game on the screen - there is no 'X to play' and 'O to back-up' at the bottom of the screen (as is shown in screenshots). Any idea what the problem may be? I have JB driver vers 1.1 and have tried BU Manager vers 1.1 and 2.0

Sorry I dont use an ext hdd, loads of info on psx-scene, take a look there

Your games go in the GAMEZ folder on the root of your external hd your problem may just be that your external hd is not formatted to fat32 the ps3 will only see fat32 ext hd if you have any games with an individual file larger than 4GB you need to ftp it directly to the internal drive .

It is formatted Fat32-backup manager finds the games on it but giai manager does not - I assume giai manager can only play games that are stored on the internal HD.

My issue at the moment is playing games that need firmware 3.42. I have edited the .SFO file using SFO Editor to 3.41 but I still get an error when the game is loding (such as Medal of Honor). Any help with this issue would be much apreciated.

OK forbget my last question. I have found out that provided u r running Hermesv4 and u edit the Param.sfo file to read 3.41 not 3.42 everything works fine. Thx anyway.
