3.41 UPDATE RISK

What are the chances of the 3.41 update via mem stk damaging ps3. I've had 2 separate warnings buy people concerned that if i went ahead using this method my ps3 might be scrap. Thanks in advance for replies.

well before i hacked mine i was running older FW

i used 3.4.1 on a usb stick and it worked fine

just make sure you have the official 3.4.1

infact i used a usb stick 2ce to update em both no problems

I think i'll go ahead with it & i'll take the risk if it damages his ps3 he can have mine. Is the sony site the only place thats safe to copy it from?

a long time ago august september time now

we dont run copys tho we play them off external and internal hardrives, there hacked in the same way a jtag 360 or a modded wii is lots of access and unsigned code can run

only works with FW 3.4.1 as they patched the hack straight away so if u updated it a no go

yes i did mod my own wii long time ago now and notice when i updated my neogamma to the latest it was showing support for usb/hdd setups so is it straight forward to do the modification or is it similar to the wii softmods where you do the game save and then walk upto something and press a button


and is there any detection for online gaming like there was with xbox banning serials
